Come at Me, Bro
Just realized that Katie’s hair was tied up in the last page. Oh, well. I like how her hair turned out so continuity be DAMNED!
I’m sure you can tell from the fact that it’s been almost a year since I last posted on here that I have been a bit burnt out. I would sit down to draw and NOTHING would come. Recently I’ve been watching Youtube videos by The Starfishface and it sort of lit a fire to work on the comic again. I’ve learned a few tricks from her videos and the whole process has been sped up immensely as a result. We’ll se how long this spark lasts, but I feel pretty pumped now!
Look for new stuff in the Patreon soon, as well!
Welcome back!
thanks!
Welcome back – the RSS feed kicked in, and looking forward to more!
Thanks! A supportive audience is one of the reasons I didn’t just completely give up!
Speeding up the process is a really good way to make the spark last longer, as the process to a lesser extent gets in the way of the creativity. So that is certainly good news with good hope for the future!
If I want to update more than once in a blue moon I’m going to have to count on more than just a spark, and I think this is a step in the right direction!
And I gotta agree that the hair turned out great, especially in the final panel.
Right? I’m not redrawing that!
Exactly. 🙂
Her hair was too strong to be bound up by a hair tie…
A perfectly reasonable explanation. With perfectly fantastic unforeseen consequences if made canon! 😀
Welcome back. Lots of work in supporting a comic of any kind, especially in color, so no bad comments here. Glad to see an update. Good Luck with keeping the spark going.
Welcome back! Always take care of yourself, and glad you have your fire back. Have you thought about doing a different comic by chance?
Thanks! I had another idea for a medieval-fantasy comic at the same time that I came up with Gregor, but it would need a LOT of reworking to not seem derivative of other stuff that came out after I came up with the idea. I crafted about 2 dozen characters and a rough story outline with interpersonal connects and everything. It would take a shit-ton more effort than Gregor to do, so I’ve been hesitant to work on it, but it’s always in the back of my mind.
Also, the main character was a fowl-mouthed Teddy bear a full 15 years before Ted.
It is great to see you back! This comic is amazing! Keep it up!
